Image Thresholding: New Feature Offered by Online Product Design Tool By No-Refresh

The online product tool by No-refresh is known for its simplistic design combined with robust features. In our bid to make our tool even more usable and feature-rich, we have added image thresholding as a brand new functionality to the tool. Using this feature, the users will be able to add segmentation to the image so that it becomes easy to analyze and identify. This feature has several dimensions and can be implemented to add unique designs to the products of your choice. The only software requirement that needs to be fulfilled in order to use this feature is that ImageMagick (version >= 6.6.9 ) should be installed on your server.

An Overview of Threshold Image Processing

Threshold image processing is akin to image segmentation where you transform an image to its binary form. Typically, a binary image is composed of just two colors, usually white and black but is different from a grayscale image in terms of pixel composition. This difference in pixels makes a binary image or a threshold picture much more distinct and unique.

• Jquery (javascript library)
• Plupload (for upload image)
• Fabricjs (for image selection,resize,rotate)

From the point of view of an online product design tool, thresholding provides more liberty to the users in terms of image use. Instead of using a grayscale image, the users can convert them into threshold pictures and use the same on the products to give them an old-world charm. This features works like a breeze with our tool and we have tested it thoroughly to ensure that it works exactly the way we want it to.

How to use the feature:

• Download the thresholdeffect.zip file.
• Move the file on any of the server for example: http://norefresh.thesparxitsolutions.com/thresholdeffect
• Use the “upload image” to upload the image that you want to process.
• Selecting the “Apply texture” checkbox will add the threshold effect to the page, otherwise, normal image will be uploaded.
• Delete button is provided for deleting the selected Object.
